Language in this day age

Exhilaration and passion is what drives every human on this planet. Why do we love? Why do we hate? Why do we feel pain or why is it that we feel happiness with such an overwhelming sense that we forget about the misery and the awfulness of this world.

Many think that words are fake, a mere illusion. Words can be considered the opposite of action. Many say the words without see them through, and that is what makes words in 21^st c so insignificant, so meaningless. People treat them as something so common. They do not realise that what distinguishes man from animal is letters, words.

Language is powerful. Yet we live in a visual era, where words are often underestimated and mistreated. Language suffers in our society today and what do we do to keep language alive? We give in to the spectacle more than we do in language.
