First Rain
Skies shadowed in grey strips of clouds
Moaning echoes from the west
As birds stride away in a melancholic march
Nature decides to strike in the cloudless land
And will its power with mighty and grandeur
Fly! Fly away little sun with your burning suit of arms
Let earth speak its cause and may be filled with its proper wetness
Let the race of man be soaked again
And flee this scorching fate which you have bestowed
Let those tiny vaporised drops flow and dance among the men
Let them feast upon their waterless bodies
And taste the atmosphere’s moisty gift
Breathe the delightful oxygen which springs from the humid earth
So will the heart of men will be reborn through their wetness
They shall be purified and absolved of any sins
Their burdens will scatter among the shadows
And time will come when man will rise again
Reborn through the dark clouds and raise stature
To all the blackness and the obscurity of the sun
And through the power of rain he will overcome the shadows
Sun will no longer blind man in its crossing
But it will subject to his will
As man will bow as well to the wet call of Nature
And all that was bound into darkness will fall to its doom
And guilt and fear will no longer shadow the skies of man
But instead Nature will gift Man with courage and mighty
To rule again the wet lands of the earth
And the sweet odour of rain will overflow in Man’s heart
Feelings of a blue renaissance will arise
And those grey drops that march their way to earth from Heaven’s doors
Will settle on this wondrous
And overwhelm his soul with a flood of feelings
Resurrecting the Race from the shadows of the Past
Into the Dawn of the First Rain of Man
